Club Leadership

Toastmasters clubs can’t exist without a leadership team.

The leadership team within the club consists of the following Club Officers:

  • President
  • Vice President Education (VPE)
  • Vice President Membership (VPM)
  • Vice President Public Relations (VPPR)
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Sergeant at Arms
  • Immediate Past President (IPP) actively mentors and supports all members of the Club Executive Committee.

Together, this team of members ensures the club is set up for meetings, that guests are attracted and join, that members are achieving their membership goals, and that good financial and communication records are kept.

Here is a summary of the standard tasks expected to be completed by each officer role

No role should be overwhelming when everyone is actively involved. Club officers can enlist the help of members within the club to make the Education team, or the PR team, the Membership team or the PR team to further share the load and develop a path of succession.

Club Leadership Training

There are two sessions of Club Leadership Training held each year. It is important that club leaders attend. It is also valuable for all members, whether considering a leadership role or not.

Club leadership roles help Toastmasters members gain valuable leadership experience that can help in everyday life and careers, in a safe, supportive environment.
