Contests challenge us to achieve more than we believe we can.
As Toastmasters we can participate in four contests a year in District 70.
- The International Speech Contest
- The Evaluation Contest
- The Humorous Speech Contest
- The Table Topics Contest
Each contest offers a different focus and a different opportunity to succeed.

The winners of each Club contest compete at the Area Contest. The Area winners go on to compete against each other at the Division Contests. The Division winners go on to the District Finals, held at the Semi-Annual Conference (Humorous Speech and Table Topics) and Annual Conference (International Speech and Evaluation).
The winner of the District International Speech Contest goes on to compete at the Semifinals at the International Convention. The winners of each semifinal go on to compete at the World Championship of Public Speaking at the International Convention.
When participating in a contest, the important thing to remember is to do your best and have fun doing it
