In any club the Club Officer roles are crucial to keeping the club on track, the members happy and to achieving Distinguished Club Program (DCP) goals. Full training is given – Please see information on Club Officer Training.
President
The president is responsible for
- providing the supportive club environment members need to fulfil their individual goals
- making sure that members benefit from the Toastmasters educational program
- helping the club recruit new members and retain current ones
Vice President Education (VPE)
The VPE helps to create the environment needed for members to learn and grow. An effective VPE will develop a club of satisfied members and a club that will continue to grow.
Vice President Membership (VPM)
A strong membership is critical to the success of any Toastmasters club. The VPM is responsible for building membership and ensuring a strong membership base because member needs are satisfied.
Vice President Public Relations (VPPR)
A Club cannot grow effectively without ongoing promotion. The VPPR is responsible for coordinating an active public relations and publicity program for the club including newsletter, advertising, website and press releases.
Secretary
The secretary is responsible for keeping clear and accurate records of club business, including membership records and correspondence with Toastmasters International’s World Headquarters and others.
Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for keeping clear and accurate financial records of club business and for seeing that the club remains financially stable. Please see information on how to submit renewals.
Sergeant at Arms
The sergeant at arms is responsible for maintaining club properties, arranging the meeting room and welcoming members and guests at each meeting.
