Visitors are always welcome at Toastmasters Clubs because the best way to know you want to join is to go along and see for yourself.
What happens in a meeting depends on the type of club. In general every meeting follows an agenda.
Every agenda is made of 3 main parts
- Impromptu Speaking or Table Topics
- Speech Session
Visitors Are Encouraged to Participate
Visitors are encouraged to participate but, if for any reason you feel uncomfortable doing so, you are under no obligation. Invited but not obligated to participate! Be prepared to introduce yourself to the group at the beginning of the meeting though and have some fun. The faster you give speaking a go, the easier it is to continue.
What You Should Get From the Club
As a visitor you should be made to feel welcome. The Toastmasters in the club you visit should ensure you are sitting with someone who can explain what is happening during the meeting.
The Toastmasters Club should offer you a visitors booklet, or Toastmasters membership information.
Visiting Toastmasters is a great way to meet new people, feel welcomed by new friends and have fun.
